Two to Watch

Two possible dark horses for the Conservative leadership job.

This is just what I've heard from my favourite Tory insider, a guy who has been married to the party since the days of Bob Stanfield.

Former Ontario PC leader and current Brampton mayor, Patrick Brown, is drawing attention. Apparently Brown has been doing a crazy amount of outreach, the sort of stuff you wouldn't expect of a mayor. Questioned, he said he doesn't want O'Toole's job but, hey.

The other is Brian's little girl, Caroline Mulroney.  It seems Brian's machine is spinning up for something and I doubt it's daddy. Mrs. Mulroney-Lapham probably has higher ambitions that Doug Ford's cabinet. Brian had a good run and bowed out undefeated.

  1. Ya think?

Any central Canadian who might be tagged as a "Progressive CON' is poison to this cult.

There is a photo today (after a full week of the nonsense in Ottawa) of 7 SK CONs supporting these goons ... including the hapless O'Scheer.

    1. I'm only passing along what I hear, NPoV. That party is divided. Even Ibbitson says they either accept moderation or they could split along the old Reform/PC lines.

  2. Anyone who wants to party's leadership must suffer fron delusions of grandeur.
