Trump Emulates Lazarus, Returns to the White House March 4th.

 

When Joe Biden was inaugurated president it was said to have sent shockwaves through the QAnon loons who had convinced each other that Trump, not Biden, would be sworn in.  Since then it's been reported that some of the QAnon crowd realized they had been duped and simply walked away while others have been rumoured to have joined militias and white supremacist groups. A third group has doubled down on QAnon conspiracies and now believe that Trump will again preside over America on March 4th.

The idea is that Trump will be the 19th president of the USA. The conspiracy holds that Ulysses S. Grant, the 18th president, transformed America and its government into a corporation back when inauguration day fell on March 4th. So, when Trump becomes CEO of America Inc. on the 4th of March, he will become the 19th chief executive of corporate America. 

Now you might think that a lot of Americans have succumbed to the crazies. The fact is that's nothing new. Take, for example, former Republican Representative and candidate for her party's nomination as president, Michelle Bachmann:

    Every cloud has a silver lining, NPoV. Hundreds of thousands of Americans forfeited their lives in this madness of a man who only recognizes his own version of reality. Sort of like a school bus driver who thinks the turn signal lever also operates the brakes.

Every time there's a conflict between the Israelis and Palestinians, all we hear is 'why?'  Why, as in, whose fault is this? It's easier to affix blame if you can truncate the event. Pick a convenient start date, something recent. In this case we'll make it either the Israeli eviction of Arabs from Jerusalem or the scuffle that took place outside the mosque in response. If those don't work, let's go for Hamas launching unguided rockets into Israel. That's even better because it tags Hamas with the blame.
