Are America's Home Grown Terrorists Regrouping to Attack Biden's Inauguration?

 


Was the attack on the Capitol building just a dress rehearsal for more domestic terrorism on January 20, inauguration day for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris? That's the reason Twitter is giving for having shut down Donald Trump's accounts.

Twitter’s extraordinary action against President Trump on Friday night was driven both by the violent rampage of his supporters in Washington and what the company said was a looming “secondary attack” on the U.S. Capitol and state government facilities next weekend — a finding that tracks with the open threats of violence independent researchers have also found across the Web.  

Calls for widespread protests on the days leading up to the inauguration of President-elect Joe Biden have been rampant online for weeks. These demonstrations are scheduled to culminate with what organizers have dubbed a “Million Militia March” on Jan. 20 as Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala D. Harris are to be sworn in on the same Capitol grounds that rioters overran on Wednesday.

    Considering the characters invaded the Capitol taking selfies and enjoying their 5 minutes of fame I do not expect a full blown attempt to further subvert the US government.
    There could be terrorist attack but no concerted effort that goes beyond the frustration of loss.
    Not all Republicans are cowards but what remains of the radical Confederate flag wavers and hood ornament wearers pose little threat other than loud noises.
    Trump and his cabinet are not ones to fight on the front line but they do incite others to do so.
    Without a leader that will stand at the front of a physical confrontation the cause is lost.

    You mean the courageous group that mostly resigned just days before Biden's inauguration to avoid being pressured into supporting the 25th?

    Perhaps I should have considered that the Republicans fight is that of social media and main steam news!
    Unlike physical wars between aggressors of somewhat equal capacity ( and inability of total supremacy)today's wars are been fought with likes, dislikes and the number of friends you have , or not!
    Future wars will be fought by the 1st US facebookateers and the 2nd Fox nicelegs.

The Cognoscenti Syndrome

  There is a group of people I think of as the Cognoscenti, people who are well educated, very informed and of rapidly diminishing relevance.
