Why Does a Trucker Need Body Armour and Guns?

So much for peaceful protest.

RCMP have arrested members of a "core group" at the Coutts border crossing after finding rifles, handguns, ammunition, body armour and high capacity magazines in their vehicles.

RCMP say a large farm tractor and a semi truck attempted to ram a police vehicle on Sunday evening, providing "an example of the militant mindset of a small segment of the protest," the release said.

Officers were able to get out of the way and avoid a collision.

The driver of the tractor was identified and officers are working to locate him and arrest him, RCMP said.

Meanwhile, we may soon know the names of the donors who used a Christian site, GiveSendGo, to funnel money to the protesters.  A group, Distributed Denial of Secrets, has 30 megabytes of donor data hacked from GiveSendGo's computers.  Oopsie!

Distributed Denial of Secrets (DDoS) has a long record of hosting leaked data from right-wing organizations, including the far right Patriot Front and the Oath Keepers.

DDoS said that, because the donor information contains sensitive personal information, it would not be making the data available publicly but will instead be offering it to “journalists and researchers.”

    1. It does feel that way, Owen. Angus Reid reports that a solid majority (70%+) of us want these clowns sent packing either from whence they came or in a jail cell. Justin's timidity has hurt his popularity. Ford and Kenney also get poor scores.

  3. Excellent comment found here:

"Canada’s AWOL spies have, for years, been too busy spying on Canadians who want to stop wars and oil pipelines and keeping covert tabs on Indigenous “activists” to have been bothered, apparently, with twigging to this nation’s legion of 1/6 fans and wannabes and their costly, metastasising “siege”."

  4. We live in an age of the spoilt brat.
There would seem to be few, if any, persons that have endured true hardship in even western standards.
How many , in Canada, have suffered food rationing?
How many in Canada worked a regular 45hr work week?
How many in Canada never had a winter break!! WTF.
FFS, shouting out 'freedom' to conform with the USA 'liberty' defies discussion.
In this land of plenty we have a very vocal minority holding the majority to ransom for little else than selfishness.
How dare they wave the maple Leaf flag in the name of freedom?
