Christ On a Crutch!!

You might remember Rep. Ronny Jackson of Texas from his former job as White House physician to president Donald Trump.

Now Ronny is weighing in on the new Covid variant, Omicron.

"Here comes the MEV - the Midterm Election Variant," tweeted Jackson, who, not for nothing, is also a physician. "They NEED a reason to push unsolicited nationwide mail-in ballots. Democrats will do anything to CHEAT during an election - but we're not going to let them!"

And then there was this from Fox News personality Pete Hegseth: "Count on a variant about every October, every two years."

Is it just me or does Rear Admiral Ronny have a bad case of Stepford Wives eyes?

The lights are on but there's nobody home.

  1. I always thought the Clinton/alien connection a bit suspect! LOL.

That this old NE front page remains 'somewhat' acceptable proves that the USA is an illiterate basket case.

Our problem is how do we distance ourselves from them?
I heard the tail end of a CKNW opinion piece calling for the purchase of F35 strike fighters.
These aircraft are ultimately tied in to US foreign policy!

Tying ourselves to a sinking ship is not acceptable from wars to climate change decisions.

    1. How do we distance ourselves? I think that ship has sailed, TB. With which countries would we replace the U.S.? Who might be our new economic partner? And, if we did move to economically or geopolitically distance ourselves how do we imagine Washington would respond?

I can't see anything short of a messy collapse in the American economy or its republic that would allow Canada to reset our relationship with the "cousins." And, if that were to occur, we would hardly be immune to the fallout.

As for Lockheed I'm sure they would love to get as many customers as possible in their order bag before the USAF and USN move on to a new stealth fighter that is definitely in the works. The Air Force is looking at a new order of updated F-15s as an interim solution while they're waiting for something a bit less buggy than the F-35. The US Navy has also trimmed its order. The Brits are working on their own design as are the French and Germans.

  2. Yanks are nuts, eh?

Let's send a couple of warships to support their armada in the South China Sea!

(oh, wait, we already did that)

  3. How do we distance ourselves?

Whilst economically impossible it is politically we need to untangle ourselves from the US.
No more American wars for starters.
Some economic protectionism will help as will beefing up Canadian content in media and culture.
