Reading the Riot Act

The media are questioning how and when the truckers' protest in Ottawa will end.  There is fear this will get ugly before it's over.

Enter the Riot Act

 A person who is

  • (a) a justice, mayor or sheriff, or the lawful deputy of a mayor or sheriff,

  • (b) a warden or deputy warden of a prison, or

  • (c) the institutional head of a penitentiary, as those expressions are defined in subsection 2(1) of the Corrections and Conditional Release Act, or that person’s deputy,

who receives notice that, at any place within the jurisdiction of the person, twelve or more persons are unlawfully and riotously assembled together shall go to that place and, after approaching as near as is safe, if the person is satisfied that a riot is in progress, shall command silence and thereupon make or cause to be made in a loud voice a proclamation in the following words or to the like effect:

Her Majesty the Queen charges and commands all persons being assembled immediately to disperse and peaceably to depart to their habitations or to their lawful business on the pain of being guilty of an offence for which, on conviction, they may be sentenced to imprisonment for life. GOD SAVE THE QUEEN.

  1. What, you think anti-vaxx truckers can read? Or care? Those stumblebum clowns can't even work out the difference between federal and provincial jusrisdiction on restrictions due to a declared health emergency! Right now, on most of their demands, they're like the gormless customer complaining to the electricity supplier about their gas bill.

The CPC of course can't be bothered to enlighten the fools. They'd rather foment right wing idiocy for a few votes in greaseball enclaves across the country, than to educate the illiterate. Of course, if THEY were in charge, these truckin' fools would already have been sent home for impeding business, a charge of rocksalt stinging their sorry asses. Cons scarcely ever exhibit honour and integrity. This time they've overdone the sucking-up-to-twits scenario, and the general public seems to have finally noticed. Certainly a good few citizens in Ottawa seem to have finally got Ford off his fat ass to tell the bumblers to go home. And kenney has obviously okayed the breakup of the stupid highway blockade at the Coutts AB border crossing.

Now watch Ford and kenney blame Trudeau for them having to act like adults. Cons are always Cons, and integrity is not a word they understand.

    1. Bill, I just read that O'Toole is now grovelling, offering to switch policies to appease his unruly caucus. Dignity, integrity - whaat?
